"Losing My Mind" is listed as the fourth track in Charlie's debut album, Nine Track Mind. This song was actually the last one written for the album. Charlie told American Top 40 that the song was written about last-minute pressure while finishing up Nine Track Mind.

“Losing My Mind" was the last record that I wrote for the album, when I was getting pressured to finish the album. I had 12 hours to finish it, and I was kind of having a mental breakdown because I couldn’t think of anything. I thought I was losing my mind, and I didn’t know what to write about. And I stopped myself and I was like, ‘Dummy, why don’t you just write about what you’re feeling right now? You’re losing your mind.’

“So much to lose” is likely discussing the pressures of the music industry — one day you’re at the top of the charts and the next you could be forgotten. Charlie has to prove himself to listeners or risk losing his label’s trust, or maybe even his record deal altogether.
