The last track in Charlie's sophomore album, Voicenotes, Through It All was written by Charlie, Breyan Isaac, and Jacob Kasher. It was released on May 11, along with the rest of the album.

"Through It All is the first song I ever wrote when I was entering this 'album cycle' – when I was entering the making of this album. Which is why it kind of sounds like, older Charlie Puth? It has a string section, and about hundred layers of vocals, with me and my friend Breyan Isaac. It’s a very, very important song to me so I kept it as the last song in the album."

He also said in an interview on the Zach Sang Show:

"The last song, the vocals were recorded in this Marriott Hotel in Ohio when I was on tour a couple of years ago. The reason why that song sounds so different from Track 1 [The Way I Am] is because that Track 13 [Through It All] was supposed to be the sound of the album, however Attention came out and my whole sound completely changed."

Through It All is about the experiences Charlie has gone through the past few years. The song played at the Supergirl Season Three Finale. This heartwarming ballad is the perfect way to end the album.
