Up All Night (Song)

Up All Night - Song by Charlie Puth

The seventh track in Nine Track Mind, "Up All Night" was released on 29th January 2016, along with the rest of the album. The track was written by Giorgo Tuinfort, Thomas Troelsen, Bonnie McKee and Charlie Puth. It was produced by Jesse Shatkin, who was also the drum, synthesizer and bass programmer. It was recorded at The Rib Cage, Los Angeles, Atlantic Studios and Power Sounds Studio's Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The song is about having trouble with someone else not reciprocating their feelings. Puth told iHeartRadio that he wrote this with Bonnie McKee:
"Up All Night I wrote with Bonnie McKee, who writes all of Katy’s [Perry] stuff, and is incredible. I was talking with Bonnie, who was going through a tough time with this guy wanting him to like her, and I didn’t tell her that I was having a tough time with this girl wanting to like me, and it was the first time that I’ve been in a session where two people were both experiencing the same feeling, but didn’t tell each other, but we found it out through music. So that’s pretty cool. That song came together really quickly too."
